Holiday Chevrolet/Cadillac Alterations

Holiday Chevrolet-Cadillac is a renovation of the exterior and interior spaces to bring the building into compliance with Chevrolet’s new standard of design. The exterior is being remodeled with metal panels, aluminum storefront, and entry features to create a modern, clean line structure. The interior spaces likewise are being remodeled to simplify the many spaces and give it a cohesive, easily understood interior.

A mixed use development consisting of eight 3 bedroom apartments and retail space located in Colonial Williamsburg's downtown business district.

As an addition to a city government facility, this building was designed to compliment the architectural elements of the existing 1980’s structure through a traditional reinterpretation more fitting with the City of Williamsburg. Entry through the cast stone and brick façade into the foyer features a domed ceiling and curved stair that create a grand public space. As a renovation to the existing facility, this LEED Silver designed project allowed for phasing that enabled operations to continue throughout construction.

With its pedestrian friendly plaza and monumental entry portico, this 30,000 square foot office condominium serves as the gateway to Discovery Business Park located in Williamsburg’s New Town development.

Located in Williamsburg’s New Town development, this building is designed to provide rental suites for several unique office and retail spaces. The building features brick alternating with cementitious siding, large windows, and glass doors.

Williamsburg Pottery

As a popular tourist shopping destination since 1938, The Williamsburg Pottery desired a renewal of their original warehouse style buildings. As part of the design/build team, GuernseyTingle designed a new 160,000 square foot European themed market place including gourmet food, ceramics, floral, and plant departments as well as an outdoor stage and freestanding restaurant.

Ford's Colony Rocky Mount Sales Office

Ford's Colony desired a sales office in this developing golfing/residential planned community that blended with the scale and architecture of the surrounding residences. As such, this 6,000 square foot building incorporates a two-story residential brick façade with Georgian style windows and dormers and fully-glazed windows that overlook the rear terrace.

Hampton Roads Sanitation District - North Shore Administration & Maintenance Facility

As part of the design build team for HRSD’s new administration and maintenance building, GuernseyTingle designed the facility to meet LEED Silver standards. The building is divided into distinct sections that include a two-story brick administration wing at the front, and a one-story vehicle storage, service, and parts area at the rear.

AES Office - Gloucester

Designed as the first building in this developing office park, this 9,200 square foot building consists of two wings flanking a central office core and covered entry. The wings include high ceilings and day lighting combined with energy-efficient indirect and task lighting in an open office concept design.

City Green Mixed Use Retail and Residences

This redevelopment is a mixed use urban infill project near Colonial Williamsburg that includes a small retail center and condominiums. A community of shops and restaurants fronts the site and honors the traditional architecture of the surrounding area.

Williamsburg Premium Outlets (formerly Prime Outlets)

The addition of four new retail buildings and a food court to a popular outlet mall is a LEED certified project that was designed to blend with the vernacular of the existing outlet center. A central brick tower with glazed openings marks the entry to the new food court, while repeating brick "facades" highlight various store entries along the retail corridor.

Casey Toyota

This new auto dealership features a modern metal and glass façade with curved entry portal to mark the main entrance. Based on Toyota’s corporate brand, the design/build project was produced with BIM technology.

This 22,000 square-foot design/build shopping center deviated in methods and materials from the archetypal colonial brick storefront strip malls found in the Williamsburg area.

This new home for the Williamsburg Chamber and the Convention & Visitor’s Bureau is located in the new city central redevelopment area. The building evokes images of the city’s rich heritage, without directly reproducing a historic style.

The design of this 16,000 SF branch, located amongst several other bank facilities, reflects a contemporary interpretation of traditional stone bank buildings.

Williamsburg General Store

This freestanding retail facility and ice cream shop, reminiscent of an old mercantile store, is complete with exposed timber beams and columns, pine flooring and a metal roof. The result is a building that invites people from the street to come and shop, or sit in a rocking chair on the extensive wrap-around porch.
